Now with nearly two decades of experience in the industry, Jason carries a life, health and annuity license. He has past experience as a 403(b)-annuity agent, a health agent and a trainer for agencies looking to expand their employee base. He is now permitted to operate in Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Ohio, Nevada and Arizona.
As a member of our team, Jason specializes in aligning our clients’ goals for retirement with their plan to achieve those goals. “That’s the end result of my intention, but what I really want to do is listen to the clients and market experts who innovate new products to get my clients to their ideal retirement,” Jason says. “I operate with a mindset that pushes me to look for what’s best for each individual, and listening to their narrative and understanding the marketplace are the two ways to do that.”
Jason’s time in hockey showed him where his true passion lies, not just in his personal interests, but also in his involvement in his local organizations. His sister with special needs inspires him to be active with foundations and events that support her and other members of the special needs community. He also plays in NHL Alumni Charity games and supports On My Own of Michigan, which assists higher-functioning special needs adults.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, Delaney, and his significant other of more than a decade, Milena. He splits time between the Detroit and Chicago areas, which both offer perfect opportunities to stay active in hockey. He plays tennis, golf and softball and is a wildly talented writer and editor. Additionally, Jason is a member of MENSA and has an IQ of 148. He rounds out his achievements with black belts in Shodokan Aikido, Renshinkai and Ki Aikido, the first of which he obtained at just 13 years old.
“I just love that this lifestyle and career gives me the opportunity to be genuine. Financial decisions are extremely personal, so I think people crave a deeper connection when looking for someone to guide them to retirement. My mission is to blaze a path that pushes advisors to follow the same practices I do,” Jason says.
